The year was 1933, FDR was inaugurated, unemployment was 24.9%, and the country was in the middle of the Great Depression. Lars Christian (L.C.) Thomsen an ambitious and optimistic entrepreneur in Kenosha, Wisconsin was writing the first chapter in a success story that is still unfolding.
Today Thomsen Group LLC. is a manufacturer of quality stainless steel flow equipment for the dairy, food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
1940's The company quickly grew as it focused on the dairy, food, and beverage industries. This growth forced us to move to our present location on 43rd Street in Kenosha Wisconsin. We are located in a rustic, cream brick, history-rich building.
1950's The 50's brought an end to the foundry operation and the first expansion to the machine shop.
1960-70's The 60's & 70's were a time of transition for our country as well as for the Thomsen Group. The process industries transitioned from nickel alloys to stainless steel and from manual machining to the first CNC computerized machines. Thomsen Group was at the forefront of these and many other industry changes.
Today The Thomsen Group today strives to live up to the tradition L.C. Thomsen stated years ago, "Big enough to deliver high quality products on time, but small enough to never stop caring about the customer." At the Thomsen Group our rich past has set the stage for a very bright future.
